Odd-Even Traffic Rule Removed in Kathmandu Valley

The government has announced a relaxation of odd-even traffic rationing system for private vehicles in the Kathmandu Valley. The decision will come into effect from today midnight.As per the recommendation of the Covid-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC), the District Administration Offices of Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur decided to remove the odd-even number plate system for private vehicles.The odd-even traffic rule was imposed on January 21 to control the recent surges in Covid cases due to the Omicron variant.
