Nissan Tekton Launched in Nepal at Rs 51.29 Lakh; Features, Specifications and More

The Nissan Tekton has been launched in Nepal during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 at a starting price of Rs 51.29 lakh and going up to Rs 83.59 Lakh across six variants. 

The Tekton is Nissan’s new premium SUV, combining bold styling with turbo-petrol engines, advanced technology and enhanced safety features to take on the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment.

The Nissan Tekton is available with two turbocharged petrol engine options. The entry-level 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol engine produces 99 hp and 166 Nm of torque and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. The more powerful 1.3-litre turbo GDi engine develops 160 hp and 280 Nm, with buyers getting the choice of a six-speed manual or six-speed DCT automatic transmission.

The 1.0-litre manual version has a claimed fuel economy of 19.5 km/l, while the 1.3-litre manual and DCT versions return claimed figures of 17.8 km/l and 18.5 km/l, respectively.

The Tekton gets a bold exterior inspired by Nissan’s larger SUV lineup, including slim LED headlamps, vertical LED daytime running lights, a panoramic sunroof, 18-inch alloy wheels and connected LED tail lamps. Measuring 4.3 metres in length with a 2.6-metre wheelbase, the SUV offers 518 litres of boot space, expandable to 1,789 litres with the rear seats folded.

Inside, the new Nissan SUV features a 10.1-inch infotainment system with Google integration and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. Other highlights include leatherette upholstery, powered and ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, ambient lighting, a powered tailgate and a 360-degree camera on higher variants.

Safety features include six airbags, Electronic Stability Control, ISOFIX mounts and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). The ADAS package includes Adaptive Cruise Control, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Warning, among other features.

The Nissan Tekton has also secured a 5-star BNCAP safety rating, scoring 30.49 out of 32 for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 for child occupant protection.

With its launch at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, the Nissan Tekton joins the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment in Nepal, competing against models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Honda Elevate.
