Nepal-bound MG Majestor has been launched in India as MG’s new flagship internal combustion SUV, taking the top position in the brand’s lineup after the Gloster.
It enters the full-size three-row SUV segment with a price range of INR 40.99 lakh to 44.99 lakh (ex-showroom), where it competes with established models such as the Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron.
The SUV features a redesigned exterior with a larger octagonal grille, split LED headlamp setup, vertically stacked DRLs and a more upright stance that gives it a stronger road presence than its predecessor.
Its proportions further reinforce its flagship positioning, measuring over five metres in length with a 2,950 mm wheelbase, making it one of the largest SUVs in its category.
Inside, the Majestor is equipped with a feature-rich cabin layout that includes dual 12.3-inch displays for infotainment and driver information, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic climate control, dual wireless charging pads, ventilated and massaging front seats, a 12-way powered driver seat with memory, and a premium audio system.
The SUV also includes Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera system and six airbags as part of its safety package.

Power comes from a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine producing around 213 hp and 478 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The four-wheel-drive version adds enhanced off-road capability through multiple terrain modes, crawl function and locking differentials, improving its performance in challenging conditions compared to the outgoing Gloster.

JSW MG Motor India recently appointed G.O. Automobiles as the official distributor for India-manufactured MG vehicles in Nepal, a move expected to streamline the brand’s operations and future product rollouts in the local market.
