MG Comet EV Now Available from Rs 520 a Day

G.O. Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of JSW MG Motor in Nepal, has launched a new daily EMI scheme for the MG Comet EV, making the compact electric hatchback more accessible to buyers looking to switch to electric mobility.

Under the new financing offer, customers can now own the MG Comet EV for Rs 520 per day, equivalent to a monthly EMI of Rs 15,535.

The company says the daily installment is lower than the cost of frequently booking ride-hailing services or hiring a personal driver, positioning the Comet EV as an affordable urban mobility solution.

The MG Comet EV is currently priced from Rs 18.75 lakh in Nepal. Developed primarily for city driving, the compact four-seater offers a surprisingly spacious cabin while maintaining dimensions that make it easy to maneuver through congested urban roads and tight parking spaces.

Power comes from a 17.3 kWh battery pack paired with a 31.26 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motorproducing 110 Nm of torque. The electric hatchback delivers a claimed ARAI-certified range of up to 230 km on a single charge, which should comfortably cover daily commuting and routine city travel. Charging is supported through AC charging.

Inside, the Comet EV features LED headlamps and taillamps, keyless entry, a fully digital instrument clustermeasuring 17.78 cm or 26.04 cm depending on the variant, front power windows, manual air conditioning, and a 20.04 cm touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include steering-mounted audio controls and a two-speaker sound system.

Safety equipment includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, an Indirect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS), and a speed-sensing auto door lock.

Commenting on the launch, Akash Golchha, Managing Director of G.O. Automobiles, said the initiative is designed to make EV ownership a natural lifestyle choice rather than a major financial decision.
