M-Hero 917 Showcased in Nepal as a Major Attraction at NADA Auto Show 2026
The M-Hero 917 has been showcased in Nepal at the NADA Auto Show 2026, emerging as one of the most attention-grabbing vehicles at this year's exhibition with its imposing design, extreme performance figures and advanced off-road technology.
M-Hero is Dongfeng Motor Corporation's luxury electric off-road brand, focusing on high-performance, technology-driven vehicles designed to combine premium luxury with serious off-road capability.
The M-Hero 917 showcased in Nepal is a range-extended electric SUV, combining a battery-electric powertrain with a range-extender system. It features a 65.8 kWh battery pack and a three-motor electric drivetrain.
The setup produces an impressive 600 kW of power and 1,050 Nm of torque, giving the SUV performance figures rarely seen in a vehicle of this size and type. It can travel up to 156 km on electric power alone under the WLTC cycle, while the combined range is rated at 825 km.
The M-Hero is built with serious off-road capability in mind. It comes equipped with the M ATSM All-Terrain Intelligent System, which manages the vehicle's drivetrain and traction according to different driving conditions.
Other hardware includes an Intelligent Wading Sensing System, Crab Walk Mode and front and rear differential locks. These systems are designed to improve traction, manoeuvrability and control when tackling difficult terrain.
The SUV uses a body-on-frame construction, further underlining its off-road focus. Ground clearance stands at 221 mm in the standard configuration and increases to an impressive 326 mm in off-road mode.
The M-Hero 1 also makes a strong visual statement, with its boxy proportions, wide stance, large wheel arches and rugged exterior giving it a distinctive presence on the NADA show floor.
Unlike a conventional luxury EV, the M-Hero combines electric driving capability, range-extender technology and hardcore off-road hardware. That combination makes it one of the most unusual vehicles to appear at this year's exhibition.
With its 600 kW output, 1,050 Nm torque, three electric motors, 825 km combined range and 326 mm maximum ground clearance, the M-Hero 1 is undoubtedly one of the showstoppers of NADA Auto Show 2026.
