Kia India has pulled the covers off its upcoming SUV, the Clavis, a smart and premium MPV designed for urban buyers. Positioned above the Carens in Kia’s lineup, the Clavis is expected to bring a bold design, advanced features, and strong market appeal. The Kia Clavis will be launched on May 08, 2025, and will be sold alongside the currently available Kia Carens MPV.
While the full design remains under wraps, teaser images reveal a rugged, upright stance with LED DRLs and a front fascia inspired by a Viking helmet—a nod from Kia to the SUV’s bold and distinctive styling. Though technical specifications are still unconfirmed, the Clavis is expected to launch with both petrol and electric powertrains. The petrol version could ride on Hyundai’s K1 platform, which underpins the Exter.
What makes the Clavis particularly exciting is the possibility of Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), a rare offering in this segment. If confirmed, this would include adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, emergency braking, and more—redefining expectations for compact MPVs.
On the inside, the Clavis is likely to be packed with premium features: a 10.25-inch touchscreen, connected car technology, a digital instrument cluster, six airbags, and rear AC vents—all pointing to a feature-rich cabin that aims to punch above its class.
If the production model stays true to what’s been previewed, the Kia Clavis could become a serious contender in the urban MPV market, offering both style and substance in a compact, future-ready package.
