Hyundai has unveiled the i20 facelift for the European market. The new i20 facelift gets cosmetic enhancements and an updated list of equipment. India launch is likely to take place later this year.The i20 facelift gets a restyled radiator grille on the front bumper, refreshed rear bumper with Z-shaped LED inserts and a set of new 16 and 17-inch alloy wheels. The i20 facelift retains its sporty stance thanks to its low roof profile and long wheelbase. Hyundai is offering the i20 facelift in eight exterior colours and an optional black two-tone roof. Three exterior colours are brand-new: Lucid Lime Metallic, Lumen Grey Pearl, and Meta Blue Pearl.
On the inside, the i20 facelift has been upgraded with a standard 4.2-inch LCD cluster, USB type-C, second-generation eCall based on the 4G network, and Over-the-Air (OTA) map updates. There's also an optional 10.25-inch cluster and 10.25-inch display screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charger, etc.
In terms of safety, the biggest addition is the inclusion of ADAS features such as lane keep assist, updated forward collision warning system, rear cross-traffic collision avoidance and blind spot collision avoidance.
The i20 continues will come with a 1.0L turbo petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid setup. The 1.0L turbo petrol comes in two states of tune — 100 PS & 120 PS. Transmission choices include a 6-speed auto-clutch manual transmission and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
