Honda has released new images of its much-anticipated EV Fun Concept, giving enthusiasts the clearest look yet at the company’s first full-sized electric motorcycle undergoing road testing across Europe.
First unveiled at the 2024 EICMA Show in Milan, the EV Fun Concept is positioned as a mid-sized naked motorcycleand represents another key step in Honda’s multi-faceted approach to zero-emissions mobility.
The prototype seen testing features a fixed dual-split battery pack, automobile-grade CCS2 DC fast-charging compatibility, a single-sided swingarm, and belt drive. On the tech front, a vertically stacked LED headlight setup and TFT display add to its modern appeal.

Leading the project is Masatsugu Tanaka, a veteran Honda engineer with over two decades of experience across some of the brand’s most iconic internal combustion models. Tanaka, who has long aspired to create the “number one bike in the world,” is also seen riding the prototype in development footage.
Honda had initially claimed a range of “100 km or more” for the EV Fun Concept, which felt modest, but the addition of CCS2 quick-charging suggests rapid battery top-ups could compensate for the limited endurance.

While still wrapped in arty black-and-white camouflage, the EV Fun Concept strongly hints at a production-ready model set for launch in 2025. Honda has also confirmed that more details will be revealed on 16th September, likely including specifications and clearer design insights.
