Ford has officially launched the electric Bronco in China, expanding its electrification strategy in the world’s largest electric vehicle market.
Developed specifically for Chinese consumers through the JMC-Ford joint venture, the electric Bronco is offered in both battery electric (BEV) and extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) configurations.
The electric Bronco is available in five variants. Pricing starts at RMB 229,800 ($32,640) for the EREV models and rises to RMB 282,800 for the top-spec BEV version.

The Electric Bronco measures 5,025 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and 1,825 mm in height, supported by a 2,950 mm wheelbase. It offers 220 mm of ground clearance, along with approach and departure angles of 30 degrees and 32 degrees, respectively. While styled as an off-road SUV, the electric Bronco adopts a unibody structure, emphasizing on-road comfort and everyday usability.

The Bronco Electric follows the design language of the petrol-powered Bronco Sport, featuring a boxy profile, large headlights, and a roof-mounted LiDAR unit.
Inside, the five-seat cabin is equipped with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and a 70-inch augmented-reality head-up display. Higher trims add heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 7.5-liter onboard refrigerator, and a 21-speaker audio system.

Ford has equipped the electric Bronco with advanced driver-assistance hardware, including up to 31 sensors powered by two Nvidia Orin X chips delivering a combined 508 TOPS of computing power. The infotainment system runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255 processor, while occupant protection is handled by 10 airbags.
The EREV variants use a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 110 kW as a range extender, paired with dual electric motors generating a combined 310 kW (416 hp). A 43.7 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery provides a CLTC-rated electric-only range of 220 km, while the total driving range reaches up to 1,220 km. These models accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds.

The BEV versions feature dual motors producing up to 332 kW (445 hp), powered by a 105.4 kWh LFP battery pack. They offer a CLTC range of 650 km and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. The BEV models also include a 160-liter front trunk, while rear cargo capacity reaches up to 497 liters.
In China, the electric Bronco will compete with off-road-oriented electric vehicles such as GWM’s Tank 300 Hi4-T and Tank 400 Hi4-T, as well as BYD’s Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5.
