As Nepal Premier League Season 2 kicks off, the excitement isn’t just on the pitch. Nepal’s automotive and mobility sector is taking center stage, partnering with teams, players, and fans to bring cutting-edge vehicles, ride-hailing solutions, and AI-powered innovations to the tournament.
From electric SUVs and two-wheelers to high-tech fan experiences, the auto industry is stepping onto the field with major partnerships, strategic collaborations, and fan-focused innovations.
Bajaj Pulsar Fuels the Tournament as Two-Wheeler Partner
Bajaj Pulsar has secured its role as NPL Season 2’s Official Two-Wheeler Partner. The agreement, signed between Golchha Group Director Abhimanyu Golchha and CAN Secretary Paras Khadka, strengthens Pulsar’s longstanding connection with Nepali cricket and youth culture.
As part of the partnership, Bajaj will award Pulsar N160 motorcycles to the tournament’s top three performers: Highest Run Scorer, Highest Wicket Taker and Best Emerging Player. This performance-based reward system brings extra motivation and excitement for players as the season unfolds.
Omoda & Jaecoo Add EV Excitement—and a Robotic Dog—to NPL
Omoda & Jaecoo is pushing boundaries with one of the most unique contributions to the league. Building on last year’s momentum—when Dipendra Singh Airee won an all-electric Omoda E5 for being the “Electrifying Player of the Tournament”—the brand is once again awarding an exclusive electric vehicle to the Man of the Tournament.
The automaker is also elevating the fan experience with immersive brand activations and EV showcases. But the biggest attraction this season may be the introduction of a four-legged, AI-powered robotic dog.
Inspired by quadruped bots from Aimoga Technologies, the mechanical canine, named Chankhe, can run, jump, and respond to voice commands. Equipped with a camera, it will capture dynamic, on-ground visuals, providing fans with a unique “dog’s-eye view” during broadcasts.
IME Motors & Ashok Leyland Take Charge of Team Logistics
IME Motors has been announced as the Travel Partner for NPL Season 2, with Ashok Leyland providing the tournament’s official transportation fleet.
Ashok Leyland will supply buses and additional vehicles for the movement of players and umpires between venues. The company is also assigning trained, experienced drivers to ensure safety, comfort, and professionalism across all matchday commutes.
MG Partners with Lumbini Lions as Official Mobility Partner
Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, has partnered with the Lumbini Lions as their official mobility partner for NPL Season 2.
The team will travel in MG’s premium lineup, ensuring comfort and reliability as players move to and from training sessions and matches.
“Partnering with the Lumbini Lions aligns perfectly with our vision of providing seamless mobility solutions,” said Sunil Bahadur Chhetri, General Manager of Paramount Motors. “We are delighted to support the team in their NPL journey, making every commute as smooth as their gameplay.”
This collaboration further strengthens MG’s presence in Nepal’s sports and lifestyle ecosystem.
inDrive Becomes Official Ride-Hailing Partner
inDrive, Nepal’s leading ride-hailing app, has joined NPL 2025 as the Official Ride-Hailing Partner, bringing its global reputation for fair pricing and community-driven mobility to the nation’s biggest T20 stage.
The collaboration ensures fans, players, and officials have convenient and equitable transportation throughout the event—aligning perfectly with the brand’s mission of empowering communities through modern mobility solutions.
A Tournament Where Cricket Meets Mobility Innovation
With ride-hailing platforms, commercial transport providers, two-wheeler brands, EV manufacturers, and premium carmakers all joining the Nepal Premier League ecosystem, NPL Season 2 is shaping up to be more than a sporting spectacle.
It’s becoming a stage where automotive innovation, mobility solutions, and fan engagement converge—setting a new benchmark for how sports and industry partnerships can elevate each other in Nepal.
