Ampere Electric Scooters Enter Nepali Market with Two Models

Indian electric scooter brand Ampere has officially entered the Nepali market, bringing two of its high-performance models for local consumers. The brand is manufactured by Greaves Electric Mobility, the electric mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited.

The scooters have been introduced by STC Auto Solution Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of the STC Group, which has been appointed as the authorized distributor of Ampere products in Nepal. The company announced that it is launching two models — Nexus and Magnus Neo — as part of its initial offering.

Greaves Electric Mobility has been producing electric two-wheelers in India for the past 17 years, with Ampere ranking among the country’s top six electric scooter brands.

Both scooters feature lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, designed to operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C. The batteries offer a lifecycle of up to 2,000 charge cycles and come with a warranty of up to five years or 75,000 kilometers. The scooters are also equipped with robust chassis construction, twin suspension systems, and smart technology features.

The Magnus Neo is powered by a 2.5 kW motor and comes with a 2.3 kWh lithium battery pack. According to the company, the scooter can deliver a range of up to 100 kilometers on a full charge.

It features a comfortable seat, a loading capacity of 150 kg, and a ground clearance of 165 mm. The model offers low, high, and reverse riding modes.The Magnus Neo is priced at Rs 3,00,000.

The Nexus model is equipped with a more powerful 3.9 kW motor and a 3 kWh LFP battery. It offers a claimed range of up to 107 kilometers on a single charge, with a home charging time of approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes.

The scooter features a mid-mounted motor and includes five riding modes, including reverse. Additional features include alloy wheels, disc brakes, full LED lighting, USB charging, and connectivity options. The Nexus is priced at Rs 3,35,000.
