Maw Vriddhi Commercial Vehicle has handed over 13 new Foton Mountain electric school vans to Xavier International School, marking a major step toward greener transportation for the school. The official key handover ceremony took place in Kathmandu, attended by representatives from both Maw Vriddhi and Xavier International School.
The Foton Mountain EV comes equipped with a powerful 53.58 kW CATL Battery and 130 kW motor that delivers an impressive peak torque of 330 Nm, ensuring smooth and efficient operation even on demanding routes. With a gradeability of 25%, the vehicle is well-suited for hilly terrains and urban slopes, providing consistent performance under various driving conditions.
The EV vans were handed over by Mr. Tushar Gupta, CEO of Maw Vriddhi Commercial Vehicle, and Mr. Nabin Acharya, Sales Head of the company, which is an importer company for Foton Motors.
At the handover event, Mr. Tushar Gupta extended his gratitude to the school for implementing a new approach. "We are proud to partner with Xavier International School, as it works toward sustainable development. The EV school vans are designed to formalize modern transport demands. "These EV school vans provide modern transport solutions while simultaneously being considerate to the environment."
Mr. Nabin Acharya remarked, "The Foton Mountain EV combines safety, sustainability, space, and efficiency, and we are hopeful that our partnership will allow students, parents, and the wider community to benefit."
The representatives from Xavier International School also expressed their excitement about this initiative. With this undertaking, Xavier International School became one of the first educational institutions in Nepal to take on electric vehicles at this scale.
